The Mokena Community Park District will host a community input meeting on June 14, 2018. The primary purpose of the meeting is to learn everything and anything residents would like to share about the Park District. The Park District has started the process of developing a Comprehensive Parks & Recreation Master Plan that will provide insight and direction on its future. An important component of the planning process is community input, allowing the Park District to make strategic decisions based on community feedback. The Park District is very interested in learning more from residents on what it should be doing in the next several years to meet the recreational needs of the community.
The community meeting will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, June 14th in the Walnut Room of The Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center, located at 10847 W. La Porte Rd. in Mokena.
Design Perspectives, Inc. is leading the master plan project with the goal of soliciting public input from different sectors of the community. In addition to the community meeting, a resident survey will be distributed in early July. If you are selected for this survey, please take the few minutes to participate and give your opinions.
Please contact the Park District at (708) 390-2401 for more information.
