Name: Dementia CT TM Training – Learning the Language of Dementia
Date: March 11, 2017
Time: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM CST
The Mokena Community Public Library District is excited to partner with Aishling Companion Home Care to present their carefully designed program that follows all state guidelines for Dementia Care Certification as well as providing useful information that everyday caregivers and family members can understand, and most importantly implement right away. With knowledge comes better understanding of the key role that caregivers play in ensuring quality of life and dignity for their loved one. This course will be divided into three classes each lasting 1.5 hours. The second class “Learning the Language of Dementia” will demonstrate how to speak the language dementia with those that suffer from memory loss. This session will tackle the key identifiers and triggers as their emotional behavior and body language to help us determine what they are trying to tell us. They will teach you about a “best friends” approach and other ways to communicate through our senses. Please call or email to register at 708-479-9663 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
