Event Description:
The Mokena Community Public Library District and Mokena Community Park District have joined together this July 4th to host a Family-Friendly, FREE Community event. Come out to the Main Park starting at 5:00 p.m. as All About Children’s Music Theater kicks off all the activities on the Children’s Stage followed by Crosstown Exotic Reptile Show, School of Rock and an astonishing imploding drum S.T.E.A.M experiment by Mr. Matt from the library! The free activities will include two bounce houses, a game tent, face painters, balloon artists, and a mechanical bulldog ride. This will be an evening full of fun followed by the annual fireworks presentation. Food vendors will be available throughout the event from 5:00-9:00 pm from local area restaurants for some yummy treats to purchase. So don’t forget to come early for the fireworks and grab a spot on the lawn to join in all the excitement as we Celebrate Independence and Illinois in Mokena on July 4th!
