Healthcare costs are rising and people are struggling to afford being healthy. Research has shown that primary prevention decreases spending dollars and extends lifespan. What are some ways you can keep yourself healthy on a budget? We will have a discussion regarding the current recommendations for exercise and diet as well as screening exams that can help save your life. We will also talk about ways to make healthcare pricing more affordable and transparent. Make 2019 be the year you take care of yourself!


 Dr. Sital Bhargava is a family medicine doctor who graduated medical school from Midwestern University. She completed her residency at Lagrange Memorial Hospital. Dr. Bhargava completed a masters in epidemiology and a fellowship in primary care research and faculty development at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After working over ten years in insurance based medicine, she decided to follow her passion and started her own clinic. Direct Family Med is a clinic in New Lenox that provides patients a low monthly subscription, longer visits that focus on prevention and transparent pricing.

Building Hope for the Future is a free educational series available to the public provided by our community professionals based on specific topics where needs have been identified.  While individuals may feel alone and isolated, this program will provide you a new foundation from which you can rebuild as well as address your specific circumstances and begin to develop a plan to implement change and goals for the future.
